VA - Now That's What I Call Music [1 > 49]

Richard Branson started this series in (Ireland +) The UK. That series is now in the Eighties and most (maybe all?) of them are double CD's. What I am sharing here is the US series. It started later, number 49 has only been out a few weeks. The US series is mostly single disc. Instead of nothing but hits, a fair number of tracks are from obscure artists trying to get started. The US discs have hits from a few months ago rather than current hits. And they often have radio edits where songs are edited for content to get past the FCC. Some DJ's love this and the radio edits often appear nowhere else. But many folks would prefer the unedited songs. Despite the shortcomings I really like this series.

Be aware that in addition to the the UK and US versions, other countries also have their own versions. You may well have, for example, a Now 13 that is different from mine. I did as much research as I could to ensure that these really are the US versions. And I am sure that I got the right cover art for each disc.

The UK series is high on my wishlist and I want the US and UK version to coexist peacefully in an MP3 player. For that reason I have tagged these with album names like "US Now 01" and so on. The shortened name also prevent scrolling in my MP3 player. I know that not everyone will like this choice.

All of these MP3's are 320 CBR and that means that these files are large. If you look at my graphic you see that the covers are arranged in seven rows with each row containing seven albums. That is also how I organized the files. I have a "row1.rar with albums 1 through 7. This continues up to rar7.rar with albums 43 through 49. Each rar file is a separate archive. If you don't need or want the entire collection you can get only the rar files with the albums you want. These rar files do have a 5% recovery record. Each file is little bit more than a GB in size. Mega has no size restriction for unregistered users.

There are almost a thousand tracks here and I am not going to post a track list. If you look them up on Amazon you can see the track lists.
